Double Row Spherical Roller Bearings
Double row spherical roller bearings are of non-separable construction. They are manufactured in multiple series.
Double-row spherical-roller bearings are manufactured either with cylindrical or tapered bore, the taper ratio of which is normally 1:12. However, for series 240 and 241, the taper is 1:30. The bearings having a cylindrical bore are fitted straight onto a cylindrical shaft, whereas a bearing having tapered bore is to be mounted either on a shaft having same taper as in the bore of the bearing, or on a straight shaft by means of an adapter sleeve or a withdrawal sleeve, inserted between the shaft and the bearing. Double row spherical roller bearings have two rows of spherical rollers with a common spherical track on the outer ring bore.
